Prosperity & honor
In Chinese decorative art, the peony is associated with wealth and honor. Its abundant petals make it a natural choice for a celebratory wish.
Inside this paper pattern
A botanical drawing supplies the peony’s layered petals, stem, and leaves. Its fine lines are thickened into paper connections and the smallest details are simplified.
A wish to give
Choose a paper color and take your time with the openings. Export your finished piece as a keepsake or share it with someone you care about. Meanings in folk art vary by place and occasion; the wish you add can be personal.
